GCSE Results Day 2021

GCSE RESULTS 12th AUGUST 2021

This year, despite the highly unusual circumstances we find ourselves in, Kingshill School’s GCSE results were excellent and included some well-deserved outstanding personal achievements.

Our Year 11 pupils achieved results that were broadly in line with last year, and as expected we saw a slight increase in the number of pupils who achieved 5 or more standard passes (grades 9-4), including English and Mathematics, at GCSE.

  • 84% of Year 11 pupils achieved a standard pass (grades 9-4) in GCSE English
  • 82% of Year 11 pupils achieved a standard pass (grades 9-4) in GCSE Mathematics
  • 83% of Year 11 pupils achieved a standard pass (grades 9-4) in GCSE Science
  • 78% of Year 11 pupils achieved 5 or more standard passes (grades 9-4) at GCSE
  • 72% of Year 11 pupils achieved 5 or more standard passes (grades 9-4) at GCSE, including English and Mathematics
  • 24% of Year 11 GCSE grades were at grades 9-7

Congratulations to all our Year 11 pupils, they worked very hard throughout their time at school during Year 10 and 11, and also coped admirably with the various periods of remote learning.  The pupils were a credit to themselves, their parents and the school. We are immensely proud of them and the mature way they have handled the disruption to their education during their GCSE years, and we are confident that they will each go on to achieve their future goals.

The staff worked persistently hard to raise pupil expectations, encouraging and supporting the pupils throughout their GCSE courses.  We are all delighted with the GCSE results and are very confident that the pupils have achieved accurate GCSE grades that reflect their true ability.

We would like to wish our Year 11 pupils every success for their future and send them our very best wishes.

Yours sincerely,

Miss C. S. Oates
